The City of Cologne has a long history back to the roman times. Cologne was founded for more than 2000 years as roman colony. The former name was Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium CCAA. In Cologne are a lot of historic monuments but the most famos ecclesiastical building is the Cologne Cathedral. Also the fairs of this city and the Cologne Carnival are well known in the world.
